WCA Chapters' Council Meeting
We heard reports from all of the chapters around the country! Some of the interesting highlights:
PHILADELPHIA: Sarah Bloom
The Philadelphia chapter took part in The Red Sand Project, redsandproject.org, which aims to bring awareness to human trafficking and exploitation.
MICHIGAN: Margaret Parker
The Michigan chapter held a very successful 3-Minute Animation contest that garnered a lot of interest from younger women.
They also partnered with the Ann Arbor transit authority and the WCA Colorado chapter to produce a series of feminist posters for the buses.
MINNESOTA

Brought in other organizations as partners to co-propose a gala with $100 tickets (!)
NEW YORK: Linda Andrei
Held an exhibition titled "Subjective,"showing work that was influenced by or based on personal beliefs or feelings rather than fact.
They're also expanding their capacity by hiring an assistant.
NEW HAPMSHIRE
The New Hampshire chapter offered two $1,000 scholarships this year to students at New Hampshire Institute of Art. Both winners will also receive membership in NH WCA.
TEXAS
Texas WCA hosted Vignette, an alternative art fair that showcases the work of creative female, and female identifying artists. This satellite fair took take place during Dallas Arts Week. It also featured a series of panel discussions.
CHICAGO
The Chicago chapter has had success with video conferencing their meetings.
Member shows in 2016 (Small Treasures) and 2017 (Transmogrification).
